11 Dog Movies to watch on Netflix Holiday season 2016

How about some movies about puppies?  We just got a new puppy and we are all enamored by how cute and cuddly he is.  Nothing is better than taking your mind of something stressful than laying on the couch and cuddling up with a warm fuzzy bundle of joy.  Well watching a puppy movie while cuddling on the couch with a puppy could top it.  Before we got our very own puppy we watched a bunch of different movies and here is a quick synopsis of our favorites.
    1. Just the other day we watched a documentary called “A Dog’s Life,” which is about life from the perspective of a dog. The subject of the movie is not too difficult to surmise from the title.  Anyway, the documentary did a great job at educating us about dogs.  It was fun to watch and interesting to learn about the comparisons between dogs and humans.
    2. If you are looking for some fun and laughs you should check out “Cats and Dogs.” This hilarious movie from 2001 stars Jeff Goldblum with Alec Baldwin and Susan Sarandon voicing some of the canine characters.  In a nutshell, it is about a professor who unwittingly upsets the balance of power between cats and dogs.
    3. A comedy that goes all the way back to 1989 look no further than “Turner and Hooch.”  This humorous movie stars a young Tom Hanks as detective Scott Turner.  Officer Turner gets partnered with a slobbering new partner: a dog named Hooch.  Hooch is a dirty, stinky, slobbering large French mastiff whose owner has died.  Hanks character partners up with him and the hilarity ensues.  I realize this movie is a bit of a throwback but it is well worth your time.

But, when Bob (Dermot Mulroney) suddenly shows interest in Sarah, her future with Charlie becomes unclear.

      10. Second Chance dogs Dogs who suffer the brutal conditions of puppy mills and animal hoarding often become highly fearful due to the isolation they've experienced.

He helps her overcome a scheming Broadway starlet and the devious owner of a pampered pooch named Countess on the road to success.
